Core Scanning

Intro

Well ID’s GeoEnlight^TM handheld core scanner measures not only spectral gamma but also uses radar technology to measure resistivity, permittivity, and water-filled porosity of cores.  It is simple to use both offshore and in the lab, giving immediate results.  Now it is possible to quickly can for lithology (gamma ray), but the payzone as well as the oil/water contact can be identified for quick rigsite decisions.

Well ID’s GeoEnlight^TM handheld core scanner is designed to sit on top of the core barrel and take spectral gamma and radar measurements while self-propelling along the core.  It has a depth encoder built in which precisely tracks the depth along the core barrel. (The user only needs to enter the start depth).
